Sofia Pernas was born in Fes, Morocco, and saw a lot of the world before eventually moving to Los Angeles. Pernas initially was interested in reporting. However, her life transformed when she was introduced to an agent who represented models and an acting agency who launched her career. The theory is that her distinctive appearance was inspired by a Moroccan father as well as the influence of a Galician mother. She was only five when her family relocated from British Isles to Orange County, California. Her mother hails native to Morocco Her father is from Spain and both are multilingual. She was a part of Marisa in the NBC series The Young and the Restless and in the CW Telenovela Jane the Virgin, with Gina Rodriguez and Justin Baldoni. She is the role of Hannah Rivera, a member of the Defense Intelligence Agency, in the NBC series The Brave.
